Matt Jarrett is a multi-media artist, working as a music producer and expressing his interest in digital art and design through music projects. Initially in cover art, photography and film. He has since developed and increased the scope of his work with animation.
Matt continues production work on The Paradise Reals. An ambitious project to interpret his major influence and musical motivation, Detroit Techno. Always aware of it’s importance to music cultures development he has embarked on setting up a studio especially, with choice pieces of analogue tech he had collected though the years. Creating artwork and music in unison, so the process is always fluid and interesting. The release of ‘A Better World’ from The Paradise Reals marks a culmination of this process, where the animation was created and scored within the same studio space. The first 4 track release from this ambitious project is ‘Revolution’, which features the vocal talents of U.K. based singer songwriter Rachel Bernard. Plus 3 fantastic reconstructions from Tommy Mundell, Broken Spectrum and Matt Jarrett himself. Followed by More Love a 5 track emotion driven, uplifting dance floor experience. Previous work includes The Reason ep released through Sonic Heavy also Losing All My Fear. Early Releases as Spike on Bush Records offshoot Meltdown Communication included; 'Shadows' 'Are These The Future' and 'Toxic Culture' receiving acclaim from many renown DJ's including Carl Cox, Eric Powell and Annie Nightingale. As did Breakbeat monsters such as Bangin' and Symmentry ep.
